Geneva, Switzerland, 19th September 2024 – The conference was held at the famous Hôtel Président Wilson, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
We were delighted to host our second exclusive conference, bringing together a large number of participants to discuss maritime investment and ecological solutions for the sector.
The conference assembled global experts from sustainability and the maritime industry. Notable participants included Martin Haugaard, European Maritime Finance’s Founder, Chief Executive Officer (Schweiz) AG and Chairman of the Investment Committee. Stephen Schueler, Chairman Green Transition, Investment Committee and Chief Operating Officer and Alan Bech-Andersen, Chief Financial Officer. From our swiss office, Martin Almdal, co-founder of EMF and Swen Grau, Chief Sustainability Officer.

We were delighted by the presence of our various speakers, in particular Mr Alex Haubert, independent maritime analyst, whom we thank for his valuable insights into the dynamics of the maritime industry. European Maritime Finance Switzerland, which focuses on the future of maritime investments, took advantage of this unique opportunity to discuss innovative and shared solutions on the decarbonisation of maritime transport, as well as efforts to reduce the sector’s ecological footprint.
The SeaCleaners also spoke, with Mr Benoit de Torcy proudly presenting their initiatives in the fight against plastic pollution in the oceans, a subject that is particularly close to our hearts as a partner committed to this cause.
Our co-founder, Martin Almdal, and our Chief Sustainability Officer presented European Maritime Finance, as well as our current investments, dedicated to a fleet increasingly committed to sustainable development.

We are proud to accompany the maritime industry in this crucial turning point and to support investments that promote a greener and more innovative fleet. If you would like to find out more, join us at our next conference in Lausanne on 3rd October 2024.
