Exclusive Launch of European Maritime Finance Switzerland at the Grand Hôtel du Lac in Vevey

On June 19, 2024, at the Grand Hôtel du Lac in Vevey, we celebrated the official launch of European Maritime Finance Switzerland during our very first conference. This prestigious venue, bordering Lake Geneva and offering a breathtaking view of the Alps, provided the perfect setting for this milestone event.

This event represents a crucial step for European Maritime Finance Switzerland, as evidenced by the active participation of more than fifty people. It also reflects our shared commitment to a more sustainable future in the maritime sector.

We had the honor of welcoming our Co-founder, Martin Almdal, who hosted the conference, supported by Swen Grau, Director of Sustainability, and Antoine Favre, Head of Investment Projects. Stephen Schueler, Chief Operating Officer and President of Energy Transition at EMF Switzerland, also spoke at the event.

The conference highlighted our investment model and our ambition to invest exclusively in next-generation ships powered by ammonia, a clean fuel capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 99%.

We also benefited from the presence of Mr. Alex Haubert, an experienced maritime analyst representing Hong Glory Shipping, who shared his expertise on the maritime industry and its intricacies.

Encouraged by the success of this first conference, we plan to organize more events by September 2024 in various major cities in French-speaking Switzerland.
