The marine sustainability conference focused on zero carbon was held in Herning, Denmark due to the efforts by Herning and Messecenter Herning, the largest exhibition center in Scandinavia. Messecenter Herning host the famous Sustainability Awards. The Sustainable Development Award honors companies that make a special effort to integrate sustainable development.
The seminar brought together investors and maritime experts. Participants included EMF’s Co-founder and Board Member, Martin Almdal, Chief Executive Officer, Benny Buchardt, Chairman of the Green Transition, Investment Committee and Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Schueler and Chief Investment Officer. The event also featured Jon Leonhardsen from Clarkson’s, the world’s largest ship broker. Jon is the Deputy Head of Green Transition at Clarkson’s.

Das Engagement von European Maritime Finance für nachhaltige Entwicklung wurde kürzlich vom Time Magazine sowie USA Today gewürdigt. Dies stärkt die Position des Unternehmens als Weltmarktführer im Bereich der grünen Investitionen in der Schifffahrt. EMF hat des weiteren von der dänischen Finanzaufsichtsbehörde die Lizenz als Verwalter alternativer Investmentfonds (AIFM) erhalten.
